Rachel is 34.5 months old today!
Or...for her Daddy...
Rachel is 2 years and 10.5 months old:) or almost 3!
(Time is just going too fast! I know I say that too much:))
It's a busy Friday as Rachel and I try to get the rest of the Christmas decorations put away. My goal is to have it done by the Super Bowl, and I might just make it! Thanks goodness the weather has been nice enough to work/play in the garage. I wish we'd get some snow, but it is much nicer working out there without the heavy coats and freezing hands! So, just taking a break while Rachel watches Imagination Movers. (Yay! We got tickets to see them in person in March! Hopefully Rachel loves it. It is her first show outside of the ones in DisneyLand.)
Really just sharing some pictures as I always feel behind. (Still haven't done a nice Christmas post with pictures yet!) So...Sheena turned 9 in January! I can't believe it. I still remember crying to my sister that I couldn't handle the house-breaking part! Now she is 9 and just as sweet as can be. She has to be one of the most tolerant pups I know. She is so gentle and just a soft, precious girl. We love, love, love her as she is our 1st baby girl...our older daughter:). Rachel is just crazy in love with her Shee-Shee. She includes her in everything! I love how whenever she talks about our family, it is always..."Momma, Da-Da, Shee-Shee and Daychel (Rachel)." Always!
One of Rachel's Christmas presents was a Cupcake Set by Melissa & Doug. It is wooden with the cupcakes, little cupcake papers, baking pan, oven mitt, frosting tops, candles and dry erase markers for decorating and redecorating! Fun! My little baker plays and plays with this set. It certainly came in handy when it was time to celebrate Sheena's birthday last month. Here are some photos. Oh, and I guess we are still celebrating as Rachel continues to sing "Happy Birthday" to her almost every day...
Rachel got a new baby doll for Christmas from one of her aunts. It is her second Bitty Baby doll. We got her the first one for her 1st Christmas in 2008. (She has dark hair and brown eyes like Rachel). This new little sweetheart has blonde hair and blue eyes. Oh, how Rachel LOVES her babies! Mommy admits to loving all this baby doll stuff too. (I just ordered them matching crocheted outfits from a baby doll clothing boutique...too sweet:))
Well, Daddy was getting tired of us calling them "the babies". I figured that Rachel is old enough to choose names for them now, so I was tossing out some ideas the other night. Yay! They now have names! The little dark-haired beauty is "Sophia" and the sweet little blonde is "Bella". I LOVE the way Rachel says their names too. They both sound so cute in her sweet voice. (I will try to videotape that for sure!) Oh, and I told her there are two ways to spell Sophia's name..."Sophia and Sofia". I wrote them both out for her, and after some consideration she pointed to the one with the "ph" and said "Sophia...p - h". I love that she helped choose them. Yay! If I would have named Rachel's dolly that first Christmas I would have named her the name I had picked out for another girl had Rachel had a twin..."Rebekah". I am glad I let her choose. I think the names are precious and even seem to "fit" the babies. My friends with twins know how much work that can be, so Rachel had some help with holding them the other day. (Mommy swaddled them for her:)).
It's a little hard to tell here, but Rachel is holding Bella and Gymbo has Sophia.
