(I just realized this was still in my drafts!)
From
Sunday, June 17th...
Happy Father's Day
to my gorgeous husband
who is also a fantastic Daddy!
We had a nice l-o-n-g, relaxing lunch
at our favorite local winery.
We think they basically forgot about us,
never put our order in,
or something.
The day and patio atmosphere was so nice
that we tried to not complain about it.
We were mostly successful
but when you have a four year old
who was on dessert
when we had not even received our entree's,
something needed to be said.
Thank goodness she is used to fine dining!
We actually were celebrating
Father's Day
and
Rachel's successful completion
of her first year of dance and two recitals!
I had some little surprises for them.
I had some little surprises for them.
So, they both opened their cards and presents...
and still no food arrived for the
Daddy & Mommy.
Daddy & Mommy.
I had to say something...
had to!
I tried to keep it pleasant
as this is a place we go to often
and we really like it there.
Frank said I had a little "tone".
If that was true
all I can say is
"I was hungry!"
Oh...
and the two glases of wine were
making me dizzy!
Okay,
I'll admit...
I'll admit...
I might've had a little "tone".
I was still nice though...
I was still nice though...
On the upside...
we enjoyed our 2 -3 hour lunch
at the winery and basically
all we paid for was
the appetizer and one entree'!
the appetizer and one entree'!
Yep,
all our wine,
Frank's entree' and our desserts
were taken off the bill!
were taken off the bill!
Nice!
Happy Da-Da's Day!
After our leisurely lunch...
we stopped at the farmer's market
we stopped at the farmer's market
for some fresh fruits and veggies,
to play on the playground,
and
to feed the goats!
Sweet!
I also got to talk to my Dad!
That was quite nice.
It is hard being so far away from everyone,
especially on special occasions.
It would have been so nice having
Dad & Mom join us at the winery
to celebrate the Daddies
and also Rachel's Dance accomplishments:).
I must say I enjoyed the conversation...
"I love you, Dad! And miss you very much!"
"I also love my little family...
Rachel, Sheena,
and their wonderful
Daddy!"
