Goodness! Rachel's birthday was on Sunday March 18th...and I am just now getting a chance to log onto the blog! It has been crazy busy at our house. A quick trip (four days) down to Disneyland was the highlight of this year's birthday celebrating! It was cool, windy, and rainy but we still a good time. More about that later. Then we got home Monday night, did unpacking and swim classes on Tuesday, got snowed in and lost our electricity for 14 hours on Wednesday, were still recovering on Thursday and now it is Friday! Tomorrow is our little birthday lunch at Red Robin, and then we are having cake, ice-cream and present opening at our house! This Momma has been preparing for that...made her party hat, made her birthday banner, tried a new chocolate cake recipe and practiced my new frosting tip yesterday for the Hello Kitty cake. We loved the chocolate cake recipe!
Speaking of chocolate...
Our little "princess" at the Princess Lunch
at Ariel's Grotto on her birthday!
Yes, complete with chocolate on her face...
A definite highlight of our trip this time!
We saw Donald & Daisy!
This was a first for all of us...
The Birthday Girl...
trying on her new birthday party hat!
I was determined to make it this year.
She said she LOVES it!
So...now off to the gym/Kids Klub, post office, grocery store etc...need some cake ingredients, ice-cream, balloons etc...She has a pile of presents to open too! Big thank you's to Grandma, Grandpa, Grandma Fran, some Aunts & Uncles, friends and neighbors...We find something new on the porch every day! I'm surprised she hasn't asked to open anything yet! She knows they are for her. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to wait if they were my gifts! Oh, and did I mention it is cold! And there is still a lot of snow on the ground out here. Crazy...
